Nirmy’s Delights Home Bakery Policies

Thank you for choosing our bakery! All of our orders are freshly baked in small batches and made to order; nothing is pre-made or mass-produced. We specialize in English-style cookies (dry, tea-style cookies), bite-size treats, cakes and cupcakes. To ensure the highest quality and best overall experience, please review our policies below.


Ordering Policies

How to Order

All orders must be placed through the “Order Here” tab or through our email or phone.
We cannot begin your order without confirmed flavors, fillings, and wording (if applicable).

Minimum Order Requirements

    • Cakes: $50 minimum
    • Cookies: $30 minimum
    • Custom Cookies 1 batch minimum when ordered alone
    • Cake Pops: 2-dozen minimum when ordered alone
    • Minimum Deposit: 25%
    • Deposit Due: Within 48 hours of placing your order
    • Final Payment: Due 3 days before pickup or delivery
    • Late or Unpaid Orders: Any order not paid within required timeframes is subject to cancellation.

Lead Times

    • Cakes: Minimum 7-day lead time
    • Cookies: Minimum 5-day lead time
    • General Notice: All orders require 1–2 weeks notice
    • Orders placed with less than 1 week notice are subject to availability

Design Policy

Inspiration photos are welcomed and will be noted, but we do not create exact replicas. Each creation is unique to our style and techniques.


Pickup & Delivery

Pickup Time

Your pickup time is confirmed during your initial order.
Before payment, verify the pickup time carefully to ensure it works for your event.

    • Late pickup may incur an additional fee.
    • Please arrive at the agreed time to ensure product freshness and availability.

Delivery

    • Free delivery within 10 miles.
    • Delivery beyond 10 miles may incur an additional fee.

Changes to Pickup or Delivery

After payment:

  • Changing pickup/delivery day, time, or location incurs a minimum $10 fee.
  • One date change is allowed (based on availability) and may require additional fees.
  • Additional changes may require additional fees.

Accuracy of Order at Pickup

Please inspect your order at pickup to confirm it matches your order.

Once the order leaves our hands, we cannot discuss or compensate for errors, as we cannot control environmental conditions after pickup.


Cake Transportation & Care

To keep your creation safe:

    • Transport cakes on a flat surface in your vehicle, no seats or laps
    • Keep your AC on high, even in mild weather
    • Take the cake directly to its destination
    • Do NOT leave sweets in a car or direct sunlight
    • Refrigeration is recommended (if possible) until a few hours before serving

Your custom order is a piece of edible art, please treat it with care! Most issues occur when cakes are left in hot cars or transported improperly.


Wedding Sampler

    • Samplers available for scheduled wedding consultations
    • Cost: $15
    • Must be ordered separately and at least 72 hours before your appointment
    • Secure your consultation first, then call to reserve a sampler

Responses may take up to 2 days.

Allergen Notice

Please be advised:

    • Our products may contain milk, eggs, wheat, soybeans, peanuts, tree nuts, and other allergens.
    • Items are prepared in a home kitchen not inspected by the Department of State Health Services or local health departments.
    • We are not a gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, nut-free, soy-free, sugar-free, or dye-free facility.
    • We offer allergy-friendly items when possible, but cross-contamination may occur since all items are prepared in the same kitchen and ovens.


Life Happens! Here’s Our Change & Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy

All of our treats are custom-made, and materials are purchased specifically for your order.
To ensure fairness and to cover preparation time:

  • Cancellations 5 or more days in advance: Eligible for a full refund.

  • Cancellations within 5 days: Deposit and payments are non-refundable.

  • Custom or themed orders: Non-refundable once design work or baking has begun.

  • No-Show Policy: Orders not picked up on time may be forfeited and will not be refunded.

  • Bakery-Initiated Cancellations: In the rare event we must cancel, a full refund will be issued.

Rescheduling

  • Rescheduling requests made 5 or more days before your pickup/delivery date can usually be accommodated at no extra charge.

  • Rescheduling requests made within 5 days may incur a $10–$25 rescheduling fee, depending on the complexity of your order and our availability.

  • If the new date is unavailable, the order may be treated as a cancellation and follow the cancellation guidelines above.

Order Changes

  • Changes to flavors, sizes, themes, or design details must be made at least 5 days in advance.

  • Changes requested within 5 days may not be possible and may incur an additional fee if they require new materials or design adjustments.

  • Major design changes may require a new quote and must be approved before payment is finalized.

Weather-Related Cancellations

  • Severe weather that makes pickup or delivery unsafe may allow for rescheduling to the next available safe date.

  • Because all products are made fresh, refunds are not guaranteed for weather-related situations, but we will work with you to find the best solution.

  • If we determine that weather prevents safe delivery, we will contact you immediately and offer:

    • rescheduled delivery, or

    • Pickup at an alternate time or day.

  • In the rare event that weather makes completion impossible, we will provide a partial or full refund depending on the stage of preparation.

If Nirmy’s Delights Must Cancel

In the rare event we are unable to fulfill your order due to emergency, illness, or uncontrollable circumstances, you will receive a full refund and will be notified as soon as possible.

While we strive to serve every customer with care, we reserve the right to cancel orders or decline service when needed to protect the quality, integrity, and safety of our work.
